My creative juices have been flowing since I was a kid, starting with drawing and writing. I pursued this interest by attending FHSU in Hays, KS; graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts. Most of my work combines abstract and realism. I personally enjoy artwork that is not "obvious" but provokes thought and emotion; abstract artwork that incorporates "art within art". As is also my philosophy with people, I believe the more time you take to look within, the more you will find. I create most of my work with these thoughts in mind.
My influences come from all around me with my own experiences being at the top. Other influences include Native American art and symbolism as well as famous artists such as Salvador Dali, H.R. Giger and Hieronymus Bosch and several local artists. I am also very grateful to FHSU Art Professors Gordon Sherman, Mick Jilg, and Leland Powers for their guidance and influence and whose work I greatly respect and admire.
I believe I have grown creatively through the years and am excited to see what will come. I am still adding to my site, so be sure to check back periodically. I hope you enjoyed your journey and thank you for passing through.
